At HBA, we have a unique approach to our competition process. We believe that exposure should not be limited to award winners alone. That's why we designed our process to maximize exposure for all candidates and celebrate the incredible talent that enters, regardless of their final ranking. Here's how it works:

  1. Entry Fee: Candidates can choose any category they wish to enter by paying a fee of $12.

  2. Submission Form: Once the entry fee is paid, candidates receive a comprehensive submission form via email. This form allows them to provide evidence for each category they entered and answer a series of questions.

  3. Review and Finalists: Our dedicated team at HBA meticulously reviews each submission form. We base our decisions on the provided evidence and the thoughtful answers to ensure fairness and uphold our competition standards. Successful candidates are chosen as finalists.

  4. Application Deadline: The submission deadline is September 14th. Following the deadline, we continue reviewing applications and promptly contact the first round of successful finalists, presenting them with their well-deserved certificates.

  5. Top 50 Selection: To highlight the cream of the crop, our team thoroughly assesses all applications again. We select the top 50 candidates for each category, and their outstanding achievement is announced during our exciting online ceremony. Each top 50 finalist receives a separate certificate to commemorate their success.

  6. Judges' Decision: In the final stage, our esteemed judges receive a package featuring the top 50 finalists for each category. They carefully evaluate the submissions and determine the top 3 finalists in each category. These exceptional individuals are recognized during the online ceremony, with the first-place winner receiving a magnificent trophy, while the second and third place finalists receive certificates as well.

  1. Refund Policy: Each refund request is handled individually by our team at HBA. If you require a refund, please contact us at customerservice@hairandbeautyawards.co.uk. We aim to address your request promptly and ensure fairness.

  2. Attending the Online Ceremony: We will provide specific information about the online ceremony to all finalists. Be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media platforms for updates as the event approaches. It promises to be a memorable celebration of talent and achievement.

  3. Application Decision Notification: We understand the anticipation surrounding the application decision. While we aim to review applications as swiftly as possible, please allow up to 12 weeks to receive a decision. We appreciate your patience during this time.

  4. Certificate Errors: If you notice any errors on your certificate, such as name misspellings or positioning discrepancies, please reach out to us at customerservice@hairandbeautyawards.co.uk. Our dedicated graphics design team takes pride in creating personalized certificates and will gladly assist you in rectifying any necessary changes.

Rules:

To ensure a harmonious and enjoyable experience for all participants, we have established the following rules:

  1. Bullying: The USA Hair and Beauty Awards maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, humiliation, or speaking ill of other participants or staff members. We foster an inclusive community and expect all industry professionals to uphold the values of equality and respect.

  2. Transparency: It is essential for participants to provide accurate and truthful information on their application forms. We value honesty and integrity throughout the competition.

  3. Public Image: As a finalist, you represent The USA Hair and Beauty Awards brand. We kindly request that all participants maintain a professional industry standard in their public image, both in the press and on social media platforms. Should you be selected as a finalist, your conduct should align with the positive goodwill associated with our brand. In cases where necessary, we reserve the right to take appropriate action.

  4. Entry Requirements: All entries must meet the following requirements:

    • Originality: Entries must be your own original work.
    • Consent and Approvals: Entries may only contain content for which you have obtained all necessary consent and approvals.
    • Compliance with Instagram Terms: Entries must comply with all terms of use of Instagram (http://instagram.com/about/legal/terms/).
    • Appropriate Content: Entries must not contain sexually explicit, violent, derogatory, or offensive content towards any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional, or age group. Entries must also comply with all applicable laws and communicate messages consistent with the positive goodwill we aim to associate with.

Please note that entries must not:

  • Violate any third-party rights, including copyrights, trademark rights, or rights of privacy and publicity.
  • Contain defamatory statements.
  • Include threats to any persons, places, or businesses.
  • Be obscene or indecent.

By submitting an entry, you represent that:

  • You are the creator of your submission.
  • You own all rights to the submission content.
  • The submission does not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

The USA Hair and Beauty Awards reserves the right to withhold any entry that is deemed obscene, pornographic, violent, or offensive in any manner, or otherwise unsuitable for publication, as determined solely by our team.

  1. Rights to Entries: By purchasing and submitting an entry, you:
    • Irrevocably grant The USA Hair and Beauty Awards, sponsors, agents, licensees, and assigns the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to copy, publish, post, and adapt your entry on social media platforms worldwide, without requiring additional review, compensation, or approval.
    • Retain ownership of the submitted images and grant limited rights for reposting as described above.
    • Agree not to initiate or support any action, claim, or lawsuit against The USA Hair and Beauty Awards or the sponsors regarding the use of your entry, including any derivative works, that may infringe upon your rights as the creator. This includes copyrights, trademark rights, and moral rights.
